What is the GDPR?
The GDPR, or General Data Protection Regulation, is a European privacy law that went into effect on May 25, 2018. It regulates how the personal data of individuals in the EU can be collected, used, and processed. Requirements under GDPR include requiring explicit consent before collecting or storing user data, as well as allowing the user to request access to or deletion of that data.
Starting from the “Advanced Classifieds and Directory Pro” 1.9.0 version, it is compliant with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and maintains high information security standards in order to keep customer data secure. If you’re using the “Advanced Classifieds and Directory Pro” plugin on your site, you need to make your visitors aware of your site’s privacy policy and ask for their consent to data collection.

Enable Privacy Policy:
Before collecting or storing user data under GDPR, you would need to request the user’s explicit consent and explain why you need this information in plain language. The easiest way to do this is by adding an agreement checkbox to your Registration or Listing form.
Go to “Classifieds & Directory => Settings => General => GDPR Compliance” from your WordPress admin panel.
In this section, you can enable the Privacy Policy field to the Registration or Listing forms

Asking for Cookie Consent:
As per the GDPR law, you would need to request the user’s consent to store their data in cookies. “Advanced Classifieds and Directory Pro” stores data in the cookie when the user loads the Map or Video
Go to “Classifieds & Directory => Settings => General => GDPR Compliance” from your WordPress admin panel.
In this section, you can enable the Cookie Consent button and request your user’s consent before embedding the Map or Video on the site.
